Image Processing Hits The Comic (Sort Of) Mainstream

Randall Munroe's web comic xkcd, which comes out every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, is admittedly one of my favorite Internet-delivered diversions. It's always entertaining and clever (IMHO, although not everyone seems to agree), and particularly popular with the techie community, albeit sometimes a bit obscure…thereby rationalizing the existence of sites such as Explain XKCD. And today's strip (which I'm reproducing here by virtue of its Creative Commons license and in the hopes that Munroe will consider the Embedded Vision Alliance website's news section to be a blog) is bound to be a particular favorite with embedded vision industry participants:
