Reiterating what I said the other day, many of you likely already are aware that the premier Silicon Valley edition of the Embedded Vision Summit is coming up in a bit more than a month. As was the case with last September's Summit in Boston, which was co-located with DESIGN East, next month's Summit will be delivered in partnership with UBM Tech and its DESIGN West conference and expo. UBM Tech has provided a special registration discount code EVA2013 for Embedded Vision Alliance-affiliated DESIGN West attendees.
In addition to the daylong Summit on Thursday, April 25, Alliance member Freescale Semiconductor will be delivering an embedded vision-inclusive presentation on Tuesday, April 23:
- The Role of Sensor Fusion and Remote Emotive Computing (REC) in the Internet of Things (IoT) (ESC-223, 3:15-4:15PM): Kaivan Karimi, Executive Director, Portfolio Management & New Business Development, Freescale Semiconductor
Alliance founding (and Platinum) member BDTI will be delivering three conference classes on Wednesday, April 24:
- Implementing Vision Capabilities in Embedded Systems (ESC-304, 8:00-9:00AM): Jeff Bier, Founder, Embedded Vision Alliance
- Introduction to Embedded Vision (FUN-302, 11:45AM-12:30PM): Jeff Bier, Founder, Embedded Vision Alliance
- Get Up and Running Quickly with Embedded Vision Using OpenCV on Android (ESC-323, 2:00-3:00PM): Eric Gregori, Senior Software Engineer, BDTI
And Alliance member National Instuments will also be delivering an embedded vision-themed presentation that same day:
- We See You! The Rise Of Embedded Vision (ESC-337, 4:30-5:30PM): Carlton Heard, Product Engineer, National Instruments
