Today's edition of InsideDSP, the monthly newsletter published by Embedded Vision Alliance founding member company BDTI, contains an article on NVIDIA's Jetson TK1 evaluation board and its silicon foundation, the "Logan" ARM Cortex-A15-based member of the Tegra K1 SoC family. Jetson TK1 bundles a CUDA-based vision processing software toolkit called VisionWorks, along with other software offerings:
- Nsight Eclipse Edition IDE
- NVIDIA Visual Profiler
- Native compiler, debugger, and profiler, and
- Additional CUDA-enabled libraries (cuFFT, cuBLAS, cuSparse, etc.)
Jetson TK1 has been available for preorder since NVIDIA's GTC (GPU Technology Conference) last month, and is now shipping. At $192, it's already quite economical, but a limited-time promotion makes it cheaper still…how does free sound? From the promotional email I received about the program:
Entering the Tegra K1 CUDA Vision Challenge is easy. Just tell us about your embedded application idea. All proposals must be submitted April 30, 2014.
NVIDIA is giving away "only" 50 Jetson TK1 kits, and the application deadline is tomorrow. So don't delay!
