The news coverage so far of the upcoming Embedded Vision Summit West has focused primarily on the downstream aspects of the information you'll receive there: the keynotes from Facebook and Google, for example, or the sixteen other technical presentations and technology showcase that same day, or the in-depth workshops' lectures the prior day. However, as any of you who've already attended past Embedded Vision Summits or other conferences already know, a notable percentage of the total event value actually derives from its bidirectional nature; the ability to ask specific questions of the technology experts and get detailed and precise answers from them, as well as to exchange information with your peers.
Not surprisingly, therefore, the Embedded Vision Summit offers plenty of opportunities for such interactions. The keynotes, technical presentations and workshops all reserve time in the schedule for audience Q&A, for example. There's additional opportunity for contact with presenters and other attendees alike at the morning, lunch, and afternoon breaks, along with the evening cocktail reception.
Speaking of breaks and receptions, this time around the Embedded Vision Summit will offer extended technology showcase hours, beginning at noon and stretching through the entire afternoon and evening. With nearly two dozen companies demonstrating new technologies and products at the showcase, you'll have plenty to see and discuss. Don't be shy; the booth staff are ready and willing to discuss your hardware and software ideas for incorporating visual intelligence into your next-generation electronic system designs, and figuring out how they can help transform those concepts into reality!
As a reminder, the Embedded Vision Summit West takes place on May 29 at the Santa Clara (California) Convention Center, with workshops occurring the prior day at the same location.
