Embedded Vision Alliance member company NVIDIA's yearly GPU Technology Conference is coming up soon, April 4-7, in San Jose, California. The Alliance website has showcased a number of past vision-related GTC presentations, and this year's event promises a robust set of talks focused on leveraging GPUs for vision.
GTC 2016 will feature over 500 sessions and hands-on labs with industry experts presenting the latest in image processing, object recognition, and visual computing. Computer science legend James Gosling and award-winning roboticist Pieter Abbeel (a past Embedded Vision Summit keynoter) will be among the featured speakers in the Computer Vision track this year. And NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, IBM Watson CTO Rob High, and Toyota Research Institute CEO Gill Pratt will deliver keynote addresses.
The Computer Vision track at GTC 2016 focuses on the latest in real-time image processing, object recognition using convolutional neural networks, and visual computing on embedded platforms. Other conference tracks will focus on Deep Learning, Virtual Reality, Intelligent Autonomous Machines and the Internet of Things, and other leading-edge areas of computer science. Get up close and personal with breakthroughs in GPU technology through hands-on labs and tutorials, and network with leading researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry insiders.
