Most Innovative Vision-based Product Award Winners Selected at 2017 Embedded Vision Summit
WALNUT CREEK, Calif., May 22, 2017, /PRNewswire/ — On May 2, 2017 at the 2017 Embedded Vision Summit, two innovative vision-based products received awards in the second annual Vision Tank start-up competition.
The Judges' Award went to Lucid's LucidCam, a point-and-shoot virtual reality camera that enables users to produce immersive 3D experiences in VR within seconds. Users can capture and share images and videos in the same way as their eyes see them by pairing the LucidCam with a mobile device.
The Audience Award, selected by Embedded Vision Summit attendees, went to In/Out from Always Innovating. In/Out, a $199 portable electronic line call device for tennis, provides real-time light and sound to signal if a tennis ball is in or out. The product also features HD video capture and statistics for coaching. In/Out will support many other ball sports such as volleyball, basketball and soccer.
In addition to Lucid and Always Innovating, companies reaching the final round of Vision Tank competition include Imagry, Machines with Vision, and PerceptIn. Each finalist pitched its product to a judging panel comprised of Nik Gagvani of CheckVideo, Vin Ratford of the Embedded Vision Alliance, and Dave Rosenberg of GE Ventures. John Feland of Argus Insights was the Vision Tank moderator.
Each Vision Tank winner receives a prize package including membership in the Embedded Vision Alliance, and market research from Argus Insights. Learn more about the Vision Tank finalists and winners at https://www.embedded-vision.com/summit/vision-tank.
