Lattice Semiconductor Demonstration of Vision Applications for Collision Avoidance and Face/Object Tracking

Deepak Boppana, Senior Director of Product and Segment Marketing at Lattice Semiconductor, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the January 2018 Consumer Electronics Show. Specifically, Boppana demonstrates low-power embedded vision applications at the edge.

In the Smart Factory, Lattice’s Embedded Vision Development Kit is used in 3D depth mapping for collision avoidance with industrial robots and other security bots. It consumes less than 1W, which is key for battery operated applications at the edge.

Another Smart Factory demonstration shows artificial intelligence-based face tracking and object tracking for selfie drones, surveillance cameras and more. It implements machine learning and CNN on Lattice’s ECP5 FPGA, consuming under 1 W of power consumption.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
