Mariann Király, Business Development Director at Vision Components, delivers a product demonstration at the September 2018 Vision Industry and Technology Forum. Specifically, Király introduces the company's embedded 3D laser triangulation system.
The VC Nano 3D-Z laser triangulation system from Vision Components integrates a sensor, dual-core Arm processor and 450 nm laser for 3D profiling. As a product is scanned, 3D point cloud data is calculated in the FPGA without delay. The Linux-based OS allows users to freely program vision tasks on board or send point cloud data via an Ethernet interface to a PC for image processing. 3D laser triangulation systems are ideal for volume, width, thickness, or height measurement, weld seam inspection and robot guidance applications.
