April 4, 2019 – The fourth FRAMOS Tech Days conference will be held from May 22 to 23 in Munich, Germany, and will offer the ideal platform for vision system developers to share information and exchange ideas. This conference will feature exclusive workshop presentations by Sony Semiconductor Solutions, ON Semiconductor, Intel®, SocioNext, and FRAMOS AI about current vision developments, new products and technologies, and, future trends and innovations. The conference will focus on Embedded Vision, 3D imaging, and a broad variety of leading-edge applications.
Day 1 – Sony Japan will show insights about the new CMOS leading-edge technologies. An overview of the market leader’s sensor roadmap will include a Pregius 4th generation outlook; the new stacked-sensor Pregius S line; and, the SLVS-EC 2.0 interface. Representatives from Japan will present Sony’s on-chip polarization technology with a live demonstration. Also, Sony will introduce the latest updates on its OLED Micro-display technology. FRAMOS will introduce its in-house SLVS-EC IP Core for Xilinx FPGA blocks, and the Embedded Vision ecosystem of sensor modules and adapters. This development promises shorter development cycles and an accelerated design time frame.
System-on-Chip expert, SocioNext, will be discussing new developments in SoCs, image processing, networking, and computing that drive today’s leading-edge applications. This discussion will focus on the requirements for very high image quality in camera applications. The first day will close with networking and opportunities for discussion at a dinner event.
Best Practices and Networking as Factors for Success
“The aspects I liked most were pretty much that the event addresses leading-edge technologies and you have the opportunity to talk directly to company representatives from the major players, like Sony Japan. The technology roadmap updates, technical details, and overall demonstrations, gave super helpful insights on a deep level for vision system engineers and developers, together with the networking with the suppliers and peers.” – FRAMOS Tech Days Attendee / 2018
Day 2 – ON Semiconductor will present the company's current product range and roadmap that support a variety of future vision applications with a live demonstration. They will present their X-Class platform and introduce advanced technologies for enabling robust vision systems, that include HDR, NIR+, RGB-IR, and many more. Image sensors for Automotive, Embedded Systems, and Edge AI are further highlights.
Intel, in a joint presentation with FRAMOS, will outline how easy-to-use 3D vision can improve machines to improve automation with autonomous devices. These devices implement the new Intel robust computer vision technologies for depth sensing in multiple formats. The presenters will take the audience on a walk-through of their RealSense™ technology functionality; building scalable elements; and, present usage scenarios and solutions. FRAMOS’ own Dr. Christopher Scheubel will show how to easily add Artificial Intelligence to vision applications. He will explain the approach to these AI projects from data collection and neural network creation, to AI-optimized hardware.
During both conference days, there will be many opportunities for participants to network with fellow attendees and imaging specialists.
The FRAMOS Tech Days conference will be held from May 22-23 at the Leonardo Hotel Munich, Arabellapark.
