December 12, 2019 – The Bitfury Group today announced it has joined the Embedded Vision Alliance, a worldwide industry partnership bringing together technology providers and end-product companies that are enabling innovative and practical applications for computer vision.
Video and images will account for more than 82% of data traffic by 2022, according to Cisco. Computer vision is the use of digital processing and intelligent algorithms to interpret meaning from images or video — a critical field of artificial intelligence. Bitfury’s artificial intelligence division will participate in the Alliance as part of Bitfury’s commitment to advancing computer vision’s technology for artificial intelligence at the edge.
“We are working every day to make artificial intelligence more accessible, efficient and powerful at the edge,” said Fabrizio Del Maffeo, Head of Bitfury AI. “Computer vision is a critical field of AI and we look forward to partnering with the Embedded Vision Alliance — working with our peers and other scientists to promote the growth of this world-changing technology.”
“As more and more electronic devices gather data and insights, it is becoming increasingly important that users and developers be able trust these devices and the data they produce,” said Jeff Bier, founder of the Embedded Vision Alliance. “We are delighted to welcome Bitfury to the Embedded Vision Alliance, and look forward to collaborating to enable more-capable and trustworthy devices.”
