Often the first step in developing an edge AI/ML application is a proof-of-concept using a simple classification task. In reality, most real-world applications require the intelligence gained from multiple models and algorithms running concurrently in real-time. For a developer, this means the path from proof-of-concept to production can change dramatically, causing a ripple effect in processing requirements, architecture and design.
