FRAMOS Showcases ToF, SWIR, and GMSL2 Among Other Leading Edge Technologies and Live Demos at the Vision Show 2021

Munich, September 6, 2021 – At VISION 2021, FRAMOS, a leading global imaging provider, will be presenting its imaging and embedded vision portfolio while educating vision users on the latest advances in Embedded Vision and 3D technology and providing practical solutions to industry-specific challenges.

This is a great time to come and celebrate FRAMOS’s 40th anniversary with a glass of champagne and light snack while viewing all their comprehensible technology presentations and descriptive live demos at their booth.

FRAMOS will focus on their specific capabilities that help customers enable imaging “from Concept to Production”. To better understand how these capabilities are implemented, their booth is divided into three key areas: 1) A large variety of off-the-shelf components, 2) Support and solutions for customized products, and 3) Live demos of leading-edge technologies. In this way, FRAMOS maps the development process of its customers: The typical FRAMOS customer starts with the careful selection of off-the-shelf imaging components, like image sensors, lenses, or various 3D technologies which often ends up with custom developments that are tailored to their specific application.

Area 1: Selecting the Right Imaging Components

FRAMOS will highlight its extensive Sony Sensor portfolio, including their latest ToF and SWIR products, along with FRAMOS’s modules and optics that leverage many of these products. Visitors are invited to take a close look at Sony ECX335SN Live Demo and SLVS-EC IP Core from FRAMOS.

Area 2: Discover FRAMOS Custom Designed Solutions and Support

Visitors learn how the FRAMOS custom solutions team will mitigate risk and accelerate vision projects.  In the past their solutions team have worked with customers who are camera manufacturers and imaging systems experts. Now, they work more with customers who are computer vision and Machine Learning experts needing help with the imaging aspects of their projects. Customers benefit from a one stop shop as FRAMOS can help them with optics selection or to create custom designed modules that can be built in a dedicated vision production facility that ensures a high level of quality and a secure supply chain, from prototype to mass production.

Area 3: Leading Edge Vision Technology Live Demos

Technologies from key partners are showcased at the FRAMOS booth, including Sony’s latest sensor lines featuring iToF and SWIR sensors, as well as Prophesee’s Event based sensors.  See how the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem kick starts engineering teams with off the shelf embedded vision kits consisting of EMVA-1288 certified sensor modules, lenses, drivers and adapters that are designed to take your vision project from concept to mass production.

Some examples that will be highlighted in the demos include:

  • New Sony IMX570 demonstrating the latest Time of Flight (ToF) technology providing high resolution, high accuracy, and a smaller sensor size to typical ToF systems
  • New Sony IMX990 and IMX991 sensors that provide additional information outside of the normal visible light spectrum that can still leverage many existing imaging algorithms and designs
  • SLVS-EC over GMSL2 along with the latest HDR technology from Sony are on display as part of the FRAMOS ecosystem
  • Ruggedized 3D technology with FRAMOS’s Industrial D400e series cameras, D435e, D415e, and D455e that bring state of the art Intel® RealSense™ stereo depth sensing technology into an industrial environment

Please join the FRAMOS team as they present their wide range of products and solutions in Hall 10, booth E50.
