“OpenVX 1.3: An Open Standard for Computer Vision Software Acceleration,” a Presentation from AMD

Kiriti Nagesh Gowda, Staff Engineer at AMD, presents the “OpenVX 1.3: An Open Standard for Computer Vision Software Acceleration” tutorial at the May 2021 Embedded Vision Summit.

OpenVX is a popular computer vision and machine learning API standard developed by the Khronos Group to be a novel, open and royalty-free standard for cross-platform acceleration. In this talk, Gowda presents the latest features in OpenVX 1.3 in detail and explores how these features are being leveraged by OpenVX adopters and developers. In addition, he reviews implementations and open-source tools available to enhance the performance, portability, and memory footprint of applications using OpenVX.
