Visionary.ai Unveils AI-based ISP at CES

January 5, 2021 – Israeli computer vision start-up Visionary.ai has unveiled their new AI-based ISP (image signal processor), which they are showcasing for the first time at CES in Las Vegas.

‍The company, whose vision is to see Visionary.ai inside every camera, has developed a software-based ISP which leverages AI to achieve state-of-the-art image quality and detection.

‍On the new ISP, co-founder and CTO Yoav Taieb commented, “A key feature of our ISP is imaging in extreme low light. Our ISP now delivers results in under 0.1 lux, which means we can essentially detect full-colour images and video in situations of almost complete darkness. For context, a full moon typically provides only about 0.05–0.1 lux, so this is a meaningful milestone, meaning we can achieve high image quality under lighting as minimal as moonlight.”

Co-founder and CEO Oren Debbi added, “Critically, we can do this in real time. Whereas other market players can achieve image detection at night with long exposure, we can do this for video too, which is a real game-changer for imaging on a global scale.”

‍Founded in December 2020, the company raised $4.5m in seed funding in February 2021, and has already generated more in revenue than the capital raised.

“Headcount has grown over 300% in the past six months, and as we continue to sign new contracts and expand our distribution, we expect our pace of growth to increase”, added Debbi.
