Nick Sullivan, Researcher at Lattice Semiconductor, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the 2022 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Sullivan demonstrates the software-only Glance by Mirametrix solution, which uses an AI engine (MASE) running on the system-on-chip (SoC) to detect users in the scene. For the main user it, among other things, estimates 3D head position and orientation, allowing accurate determination of which screen the user is attentive to at any instance in time. Sullivan also shows some of his company’s work porting the 3D attention aspect of its SoC solution to the Lattice NEXUS line of FPGAs.
