Ludimila Centeno, Director of Product Line Management at Immervision, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the March 2023 Edge AI and Vision Innovation Forum. Specifically, Centeno demonstrates the company’s Imvisio-ML, a revolutionary ultra wide-angle camera module with low-light capabilities that meet the highest standards within the Blue UAS Framework, a US DoD Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) program.
Centeno highlights the module’s main characteristics, including its ultra wide 190 degree field of view that, in combination with a 5 Mpixel resolution, provides a pixel density suited for embedded computer vision applications such as object detection, simultaneous location and mapping (SLAM) and visual-inertial odometry. The camera module’s high performance in low-light also allows for secure navigation.
Imvisio-ML is available off-the-shelf and ready for integration with any drone platform as well as other applications that require high performance under low-light conditions, including robotics, IoT and consumer devices. In addition, this camera module is available in both monochrome and color versions and supports industry leading robotics platforms such as Qualcomm’s Robotics RB5 and Flight RB5 5G, and the ModalAI VOXL 2. Immervision provides the key components necessary to provide applications with the best pixels. Along with the camera module smart pixel management, an advanced image processing library is available with features such as dewarping, sensor fusion, image stitching and stabilization, and more.
