BrainChip Demonstration of Neuromorphic AI in a Compact Form Factor

Todd Vierra, Vice President of Customer Engagement at BrainChip, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the 2024 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Vierra demonstrates inference on the edge using visual wake word and Yolo models using the Akida Edge AI Box to detect and identify people.

The Akida Edge AI Box is the industry’s first edge box based on neuromorphic technology built in collaboration with VVDN Technologies. This scalable, low cost, small footprint neuromorphic AI system, based on the BrainChip Akida AKD1000, is designed for vision-based AI workloads such as video analytics, facial recognition, and object detection. The box includes various interfaces and connectivity such as Ethernet, USB, SD card, and WiFi, and is perfect for retail, security and industrial applications.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
