NXP Semiconductors Demonstration of Face Following with the MCX N Microcontroller

Anthony Huereca, Systems Engineer at NXP Semiconductors, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the 2024 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Huereca demonstrates some of the features of his company’s MCX N microcontroller.

The AI-based face detection model in this demo enables the screen to react to the movements of the user and follows the user’s face motion. NXP’s integrated eIQ Neutron NPU allows the vision-based application to react in real time and run inferences up to 38x faster than a CPU-only alternative.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
