Ian Turner, Product Engineer at Xnor.ai, demonstrates the company’s latest embedded vision technologies and products at the 2019 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Turner demonstrates Xnor’s person detection deep learning model running on an Intel IEI Tank, which contains an Intel i5 6500 TE CPU.
Traditionally, AI models have required expensive GPUs, but this demonstration shows that Xnorized models can be incorporated into existing enterprise video recording systems that are powered by CPUs. This novel solution benefits a growing number of industries, including security, retail, mass-transport, smart cities that are looking to gain scalable business insights from multi-camera setups.
