New advances in deployable computer vision technology are emerging at an incredible rate, and including the right new technologies in your new product design can enable huge competitive advantage. The Vision Technology Showcase at the Embedded Vision Summit is a unique opportunity to see many of the latest enabling technologies – including processors and development tools –and to speak directly with suppliers’ engineers about how to apply them in your products. Watch demos. See and touch the latest products. And interact with the people developing these advances. The Vision Technology Showcase will be open from 4:00 -7:00 PM on Monday May 2, and 10:30 AM-7:30 PM on Tuesday May 3.
In addition to dozens of demos showcasing innovative technologies, a day-long series of presentations in the Enabling Technologies Track will also take place at the Showcase Theater, right on the Showcase floor. Hear educational presentations on the technologies that enable practical, innovative vision-based products.
Here are a few examples of next week's planned Vision Technology Showcase demos:
- BDTI will showcases its expertise in implementing and optimizing computer vision and deep learning algorithms on a wide range of platforms via an augmented reality game on a low-cost CPU, neural network object identification on an embedded GPU, and dense optical flow on a low-power mobile DSP.
- Imagination Technologies' demos include the PowerVR ISP core, showing tuning and calibration tools; a demonstration of the PowerVR Imaging Framework for Android using a PowerVR Series 6 GPU to perform face detection via OpenCL; a demonstration of the PowerVR Series 6 running various OpenVX-based image filters including edge and corner detection; and a convolutional neural network (CNN) running on a PowerVR series 6 GPU.
- Intel will be showcasing CNN-based pedestrian detection leveraging an Altera FPGA as a highly efficient deep learning acceleration platform, along with real-time CNN-based object detection and recognition running on an Intel Graphics core.
- And Synopsys will demonstrate its EV Processor running an OpenVX application that includes CNN-based face detection on a HAPS (High-performance ASIC Prototyping System) platform.
The Embedded Vision Summit, an educational forum for product creators interested in incorporating visual intelligence into electronic systems and software, takes place next Monday-Wednesday, May 2-4 in Santa Clara, California. Check out the full set of Vision Technology Showcase exhibiting companies on the Alliance website, along with the rest of the conference program. And then register without further delay, as space is limited and seats are filling up!
