LONDON, Nov. 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Imagination Technologies (IMG.L) announces its line-up of presentations and demonstrations planned for the Embedded Technology (ET) Conference & Exhibition 2014, one of the world's largest tradeshows/conferences for embedded system designers and managers.
Who: Imagination, a global leader in multimedia, processor, communication and cloud technologies.
Imagination experts will participate in a range of open sessions and workshops, delivering presentations
What: Focused on new PowerVR GPUs, the new 64-bit MIPS Warrior I6400 CPU, the MIPS Creator CI20 board, PowerVR video and vision technologies for next-generation 8k/4k products, and Ensigma RPUs for low-power, multi-standard connectivity.
In its booth C14, Imagination will demonstrate products and solutions featuring its entire range of technologies for SoC development. In addition to PowerVR GPUs for graphics and GPU compute, PowerVR video and vision processors, MIPS CPUs and Ensigma RPUs, this includes Codescape tools for MIPS, the FlowCloud device-to-cloud platform, HelloSoft VoIP and Rich Communications Suite (RCS) and Visualizer for SketchUp.
Visitors will also learn more about projects from the open source prpl Foundation.
In addition, Imagination will showcase new MIPS development boards including:
- The new MIPS Creator CI20 board running operating systems such as Android, Debian Linux and Firefox
- The Newton and Newton2 platforms for wearable and IoT device development from Ingenic Semiconductor
- chipKIT(TM) WiFire from Digilent Inc. with PIC32 microcontroller (MCU), demonstrated with Imagination's innovative FlowCloud technology
- A mikroElektronika multimedia platform featuring a MIPS-based PIC32MX MCU from Microchip Technology
Imagination will also feature a security demonstration on its award-winning MIPS M-class CPU – the world's first MCU class CPU IP core that incorporates hardware virtualization. On an M5150 platform, Imagination's partner SELTECH Corp. will demonstrate its new FEXEROX hypervisor, showing how virtualization based security enables multiple operating systems to run separately and securely on one CPU.
