Umair Hashim, Principal Solutions Engineer at Arm, demonstrates the company’s latest edge AI and vision technologies and products at the 2022 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Hashim demonstrates how Arm is investing its hardware and software ecosystem to lower the software development effort required for IoT solutions deployment.
Programs like SystemReady enable deployment of the same software stack across multiple Arm-based platforms. Architectures like SOAFEE enable deployment of cloud-native workloads on and across IoT edge/server devices enabling platform agnostic workload deployment without requiring any changes in application code. The demonstration shows the same unmodified Yocto-based Linux image booting across different SystemReady-IR platforms and an example vision workload deployed as a cloud-native application on and across multiple IoT edge devices.
