Pulin Desai, Product Marketing Director at Cadence, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the January 2017 Consumer Electronics Show. Specifically, Desai demonstrates a fixed-point implementation of the well-known AlexNet Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm running on a FPGA-based implementation of the company's Vision P6 DSP core. The demonstration shows real-time object detection using CNN on the Vision P6.
