London, UK – April 19th, 2017 – Imagination Technologies (IMG.L) announces its participation at the annual Embedded Vision Summit 2017. Embedded Vision Summit showcases the latest applications, techniques, technologies and opportunities in computer vision and deep learning, along with demonstrations of the latest technologies that enable vision-based capabilities.
Who: Imagination, a global leader in multimedia, processor and communication technologies.
What: During the Technology Showcase, Imagination will highlight its PowerVR Vision capabilities including several demonstrations of CNNs (convolutional neural networks) running efficiently on PowerVR GPUs. In addition, the company will demonstrate OpenVX CNN extensions – a key development as OpenVX becomes a preferred framework for real-world deployment of vision applications.
As part of the Technical Insights track, Imagination’s Paul Brasnett, principle research engineer, will present: Training CNNs for Efficient Inference. The session will look at the choices made when training neural networks and how they can impact the performance, bandwidth and power for the inference of the network. Attend the session on Tuesday 2nd May at 11:15 a.m.
In addition, Chris Longstaff, senior director of marketing for PowerVR, will deliver an implementer presentation during the Khronos OpenVX Workshop for Vision and Neural Network Acceleration on Wednesday May 3rd.
