Chris Longstaff, Senior Director of Marketing at Imagination Technologies, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the May 2017 Embedded Vision Summit. Specifically, Longstaff demonstrates an OpenVX neural network extension running on a PowerVR GPU. He learns to count to 9; the demo shows how he can practice drawing the digits on the screen, with the drawing then fed to an OpenVX graph running on a PowerVR GPU. The OpenVX graph first uses Harris corners to create a bounding box for the region of interest (ROI). The resultant ROI is fed via the OpenVX neural network extensions to a neural network to understand what digit was drawn. Longstaff can then see if the number he drew matched his expectations.
