Renesas Demonstration of Just How Much Machine Vision You Can Fit in 3 MBytes of Memory

Cristian Ionescu-Catrina, Senior Marketing Manager for the Home Segment at Renesas, demonstrates the company's latest embedded vision technologies and products at the January 2018 Consumer Electronics Show. Specifically, Ionescu-Catrina demonstrates an entry-level machine vision-based solution for face and facial recognition, which fits into just a 3MB memory footprint. The application runs on a Renesas RZA1 processor powered by a CortexA7 processor, and it doesn’t require any external memory, making the design very compact and easy to use.

Here you’ll find a wealth of practical technical insights and expert advice to help you bring AI and visual intelligence into your products without flying blind.
