Digica is an AI/computer vision specialist designing and delivering intelligent solutions from edge to cloud. We have worked on 260+ edge AI and vision projects within manufacturing processes, medical analysis, and defense. Our proprietary Synthetic Data SDK generates images to successfully train detectors and achieve comparable results with detectors trained on real images. This is especially useful when it is hard to source real images. Our motivation to work in AI is driven by the desire to contribute to the advancement of human achievement. Over half of our projects are healthcare-based, with AI used to improve diagnoses of critical conditions, enhance medical imaging, remote diagnostics, and optimize hospital procedures.

A Handful of Thoughts On the Practical Use of Generative Adversarial Networks
This blog post was originally published at Digica’s website. It is reprinted here with the permission of Digica. A Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) is a concept that was developed in 2014 by a team of distinguished researchers led by Ian J. Goodfellow. In short, we train two deep neural networks in parallel so that the […]
Context is (Nearly) Everything: How Humans and AI Understand Visual Stimuli Differently. Or, When is a Bird a Bird?
This blog post was originally published at Digica’s website. It is reprinted here with the permission of Digica. As humans, we have a visual system that allows us to see (extract and understand) shapes, colours and contours. So why do we see every image as a different image? How do we know, for example, that […]
What I Like About Autoencoders
This blog post was originally published at Digica’s website. It is reprinted here with the permission of Digica. Autoencoders have existed in Data Science for a long time.
